Hi everyone,

Welcome back again to Hope Premier League~
Registration is now officially open!

What to take note in signing up?

1) All team must have a team name, a club logo and at least one set of team jersey (minimum top with printed jersey numbers; Choice of jersey colour is on first-come-first serve basis via receipt of registration form with payment to organiser).

2) Closing date for registration and payment is 14 March 2010 (Sunday).

3) Registration fees of $150.00 per team to be paid by Cash or Cheque.

4) Cheque payment to be made payable to Hope Church (Singapore). Please indicate Team Name, Team Captain name & mobile number at back of cheque.

5) Registration is deemed incomplete unless payment has been submitted.

6) Team Manager/Captain of each team will be part of the Hope Premier League Organising Committee.

7) Each team is required to submit the following to complete the registration:
- Team Registration Form
- Individual Indemnity Form (Number of copies must tally with number of players)
- Registration Fee of $150 per team (regardless with number of players)

8) Registration forms should be submitted in hard copies to the HPL Organiser. Please contact League Organiser (Desmond or Esmond) when you are ready to submit your application.

Congratulations to FC 2024!

Yes, Hope Premier League 2009 has come to an end.
After exciting night of match between FC 2024 (the experienced adults team) and Feet Washers FC (the energetic youth team), we have officially crowned FC 2024 as the champion of this year with final score 3-2.
It was a really close call as the youth team put a really good fight.
Kudos to the very good match and supporters!

As for the match before that, FC Orenji managed to beat TAG United with final score 4-0, thus securing the team in 3rd position. Congratulations to FC Orenji!

Last but not least, Hope Centre and Hope Premier League committee would like to thank everyone (volunteers and supporters) who made the carnival alive. Can't do it without your support.

So that's a wrap for now.
Do look out for more details on next year's league! Till then~

Hi everyone,

Welcome back again to Hope Premier League~
Registration is now officially open!

How to sign up?

1) Submit a microsoft excel file with all the team member full names, contact no and CG
(if applicable)
2) Email this file to hopepremierleague@yahoo.com.sg

Guidelines to form a new team:

1) Team members can be from any congregations (means that one team may consist of ppl from different congregation), with total number 20-30 ppl
2) At least 50% of the team members must be from Hope Church Singapore
3) Team registration fee of $150 will be applicable (please write in to hopepremierleague@yahoo.com.sg should you require financial assistance)
4) Last season's teams need to re-apply should they want to continue. There is no auto application

Do take note that the last day of registration is Sunday, 03 May 2009.

And don't hesitate to email us as well if you have any questions on anything about HPL =)

It was a memorable night for all of us. Through the drizzle, muddy pitch, and trying playing conditions, two of Hope Premier League’s finest teams battled it out for the honours of lifting up the winner’s trophy signaling the end of a long season.

After seeing their 2-0 lead equalized during the second half by a resurgent FC2024, in a good show of “never-say-die” spirit, Evolution FC fought hard to hold the score line despite being 2 men down.

In the end, the decision of who would be crowned season champions was brought down to a penalty shootout decider. Tensions were high as the players each took their turns at taking their kicks. In what could only be described as a remarkable show of skill, Evolution FC’s goalkeeper stopped FC2024’s 4th and 5th attempts thus securing the crown for them.

Big congratulations to Evolution FC for being the new champion!

With this, the first season of Hope Premier League is officially over.
Thanks everyone for your wonderful support thru-out the season. We will be back with more news for our second season~

We will be selling both entrance tickets and coupons for the upcoming Hope Carnival.
Do note that coupons are needed for purchase of food and beverages at the carnival.

Ticket sales will start from Saturday, 02 August 2008 onwards at our very own Nexus Auditorium (Cuppage Plaza Level 5 - reception area) .
This will be ongoing every Saturday and Sunday until the week of the event itself.

*Volunteers and team players for the final need not to purchase entrance ticket

As some of you have heard, we will be having a carnival on the day of the final as well. There will be food and games, definitely a day not to be missed....

Thank you all for attending our general meeting. Following are the result of our fruitful discussion. Please take note and have a great game!

1. League Fund
All players have agreed to contribute $2 to the league fund.
Our treasurer, Veron, will contact the captains directly with regards to the collection.

2. Cards Issues
One red card = next match suspension
3 yellow cards cumulative = next match suspension
Once we reach the knock out stage, we will reset the cards count.

3. Match Issues
- Captains to send match info (result, goals, cards, etc) to hope premier league email, preferably immediately after every match
- Captains to send the match fixtures (date, time and venue) to hope premier league email
promptly once it is confirmed
- Each team to complete the match assigned on time (one match in every two weeks)

A note from the committee:

Hi guys, we hope that you have been enjoying your matches and the fellowship with your fellow brothers.

We will be holding another general meeting next Thursday, 24th January, 730pm @ Nexus.
Meet outside the main entrance.

Each team must be represented by 2 reps preferably the captain and vice captain. If in any case it is not possible, please get any 2 reps from your team to come down.
Remember to bring your whole set of jersey to the meeting as we need to take a picture of it.

The meeting will be for around an hour. We will be evaluating on our first few matches and discuss how we can improve. It will be a chance to settle any HPL related matters as well.

Registration Info / Rules & Regulations

Rules and Regulations

Team Rules:

1) The team captain must be a church member and his appointment as captain must be approved by his immediate leader.

2) All indemnity forms must be signed before any player is allowed to play.

3) The team can be a mixture of people from different congregations or people from the same congregation.

4) At least 50% of a team needs to be made up of church members

5) Non-members of the church(NB) are allowed in the league.

6) New members can be added to the team at any point in time in the league so long as the indemnity form is signed.

7) Each player is only allowed to play for one team per season (no team hopping) is allowed unless in exceptional circumstances.

8) A team will be capped at a maximum of 25 players and minimum of 13 players each.

9) Teams have to pay for the field and the referee after every match. The cost will be divided equally between the 2 teams playing. (est $4-5 dollars per player)

Game Rules:

10) Standard FIFA game rules apply, including offsides.

11) A FAS referee will be appointed to officiate every match.

12) It will be an 11 a-side soccer league.

13) Matches will be held fortnightly.

Disciplinary and Safety Precautions:

14) Team captains are to calm fellow team members if there is an argument.

15) The league will not hesitate to penalize any team for unsportsman behaviour.

16) Penalties to teams might include point deductions or even expulsion from league.

17) The referee decision is final and no attempt should be made to threaten, harass or insult the referee in any way.

Role of team captains:

- Team captains are responsible for all the communications and coordinations within the team unless the role is delegated to another person.

- Team captains have to alert the committee if in any case his team is not able to make it for any particular match. The captain have to alert the committee at least 2 weeks before the actual match day unless there is a valid reason.

- Team captains have to email the league coordinator the final scores and information of the match immediately after every match.

- Team captains have to e-mail the league coordinator the attendance list for his team after every match.

- The league official email address: hopepremierleague@yahoo.com.sg

Team captains should be contactable in order to assist the committee in league maintenance

How To Register

- Form a team of at least 13 players ( at least 2 subs)

- Non church members CAN be included in the team

- Church members can be of different congregations or groups

- At least 50% of the team must be church members

- Send an email to hopepremierleague@yahoo.com.sg to register

- The email must consist of these details:

1) Team Name

2) Name of team members

3) Indicate your team captain (must be a church member and approved by immediate leader to undertake this role)

4) Contact details of team captains and team members

5) Indicate the care groups of the team members

6) Indicate the non church members in the team

*Church member refers to church regular attendee. In another word, this league is open to all.

Warm Up Match

On 14/10/07, HPL held its inaugural warm up match, pitting FC 2024 VS team youth (haven't got their name yet), on the pitch in Tampines Sec Sch. All in all, it was a good day of fun and competition. The match also served to highlight that many of us need to do more training and stamina building!

FC 2024 was led by team captain Esmond Kan, and Team Youth was led by team captain Kenneth.

Many felt that the weather was a killer; and with temperatures soaring, it wasn't a surprise that many subs took place. Good game with little fouls, only one yellow card shown for a late challenge.

Final Score: FC 2024 5 - 0 Team Youth
